आत्मसमर्पण - Ātmasamarpana

Surrender, Self-Offering, Self Dedication

The word आत्मन् 'Atman' denotes eternal self or soul and समर्पण  'Samarpana' means surrender, Soul Surrender, आत्मसमर्पण - Ātmasamarpaṇa. 

One attains this position in life when one realizes that he is not the physical form, he is the spirit inside his physical form.   When one realizes and detaches his spirit or soul from his physical form of life and surrenders his soul to the existence or nature then he is liberated from this mundane physical life.  Once one realizes what he thought is not what he is, he is actually a part of the whole show called the existence and then he completely surrenders himself to the eternal soul without any form of withholding from his side.  He becomes one with the Eternal soul or the Universal Spirit.  Now you are no more you, you are everything and everywhere, now you have become the whole from being a part. He is no more a part, he has merged himself with the whole and become the whole itself, now he is complete or Saṃpūrṇā संपूर्णा. complete  

Now you have reached your final destination of being spirit form, now you are there everywhere.  You cannot be capsuled in a physical form.  You have liberated from the regular cycle of life - birth, death, and rebirth. You have detached yourself from your physical body.  You are indispensable.  You are an integral part of the whole called the existence.  You cannot be multiplied, divided, added, or substracted, you have reached the zero point.  You can be anything, something, and nothing, but you are everything and without you everything is nothing.  

You have become the अनन्त Ananta, the infinite, you are endless and limitless.  There is no beginning or the end.  You are अदृश्यम् (adrshyam) invisible, अजेयः (ajeyah) invincible, and अनिवार्यम् (anivaryam) indispensable.  You have no form, you are formless.  You cannot be imaged.  You are beyond comprehension of human mind.

Spirituality helps you to understand the core essence residing deep inside your being.  It is purely an internal journey to be undertaken by each one of us on our own with clear intent and will, never by force, to understand and liberate your soul which is held captive in your body and be free for ever eternally.
